Pastor - Rev. Dr. Hunter Johnson

Rev. Dr. Hunter Johnson is a native of Columbia, South Carolina. He attended the University of South Carolina, where he received a bachelor’s degree in history and anthropology. He then attended Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi, where he received a master’s in divinity and discerned a call to pastoral ministry. After graduating from seminary, Hunter took a break from ministry to pursue a PhD. He lived in Inverness, Scotland for three years, while completing his PhD dissertation at Highland Theological College, University of the Highlands and Islands. His dissertation is entitled, “Scotland’s Forgotten Theologian: The Life, Theology, and Legacy of Patrick Fairbairn (1805-74).” Hunter is a lifelong student of history, and particularly enjoys reading historical books and visiting museums and historical sites. Hunter also enjoys watching football and soccer, as well as spending quality time with his friends, family, and congregation. Hunter is new to Virginia, and looks forward to learning more about this great state!
